It is necessary to use the Hi-g shaker to dry-off the drilling fluid!

Application of drilling waste  fluid technology and drilling mud solids control equipment research. According to reports, the country has developed a number of drilling waste management companies viable technology and related solids control equipment, and field operational test drilling site. From the actual operation, the processing speed in 5~ 10m3 / h, water quality analysis from the treated final effluent shows basically reached the national emission standards, the water is clear.

In the drilling waste management site, the high-speed vertical centrifuge, drilling fluids dryer shaker, drilling decanter centrifuge and the drilling cuttings screw conveyor are the mainly treatment equipment.

KOSUN Hi-G Dryer is used to recover the mud from drilling cuttings, so as to reduce the liquid/oil content in drilling cuttings to as low as about 10%(w/w) and recover part of the drilling mud, so that the drilling cost can be reduced and the drilling waste volume can be cut down, for the purpose of reducing environmental pollution. The Hi-G shaker is suitable for both of WBM and OBM.

It mud be noted that until the advent of KOSUN Hi G technology, the traditional method for control of OOC was install a cuttings wash/cleaning system. This was not only an expensive solution. But in some cases a very inefficient one, which sometimes reported higher figures than that being discarded from the shaker. As it is, the dryer  shaker requires minimal supervision. Together with its low operation costs and significant savings in fluid, it is an attractive alternative to any cuttings cleaning system. It can also be utilized well with high cost “pseudo” mud and/or “closed loop” systems.

Another major benefit of the Hi G dryer technology, sometimes overlooked, is the elimination of whole mud losses from the shaker. This historically has ensured that the shakers were never run at their optimum capacity and thus the solids control system efficiency was adversely affected. Incorporating the Hi G dryer down steam allows the shakers to be run close to maximum capacity without the concern of whole mud losses.
